The Playground Safety Awareness Course introduces and reviews the skills and knowledge required to detect hazards and non-CSA compliant installations. The course also includes an on-site playground inspection exercise.
Course Summary:

- Head & torso probes, unbounded opening (fish) probe, protrusion gauges, entanglements, finger crush test
- Other hazards: angular openings, tripping, looping, sharps, suspended elements

- Ability to:
- recognize different types of hazards
- inspect, measure and document the hazards
An onsite field exercise at a local playground to conduct a practical on-site playground inspection in class.
