Becoming an Individual Government Member
Individual Government memberships are assigned based on one’s employment relationship with a currently enrolled local government. If you have an account on this website, and the municipality or regional district that you work for is currently enrolled with BCRPA, you will automatically be assigned membership status. If you are a retiree, please follow the process described in New memberships, below.
Renewals: Memberships are automatically renewed once a municipality or regional district has renewed their enrollment with BCRPA. There is nothing you need to do.
New memberships: If you haven’t already, create an account here. In the Info section of your account, ensure you have entered the name of your municipality or regional district in the ‘company’ field. Note, start by entering the ‘root’ name of your community (ie: Vancouver, Langley, Okanagan; not ‘city of…’ or ‘township of…’). As you type you will be presented with related options to choose from. Save your information. If your community is currently enrolled, your membership status will be automatically applied, with the membership expiration date noted under your name. If this expiry date is not displayed it means your employer is not currently enrolled with BCRPA, or you may have entered an incorrect 'company' name.
Please contact us if you would like to take out a *new* Local Government enrollment for your community, or if you have any questions about your membership status.
