Ripple Effects

Ripple Effects is presented by the BCRPA in cooperation with the Canadian Red Cross and Lifesaving Society of BC & Yukon.

Ripple Effects Provincial Aquatics Conference happens once every two years, and is a two day education event for all who work in aquatic facilities. This practical, information-packed and skill-oriented workshop is designed for facility practitioners and managers who aspire to stay on top of the aquatic trends and industry standards. Participants include pool operators, lifeguards and instructors, pool maintenance staff, aquatic and recreation facility managers and supervisors, safety instructors, and more.

Ripple Effects 2017 Highlights

Ripple Effects 2017, held in conjunction with the World Conference on Drowning Prevention, happened October 16, 2017 at The Westin Bayshore in downtown Vancouver, BC.

Topics at the 2017 conference included Hot Topics in Aquatics, leadership for managers and supervisors, and Pool Maintenance Solutions.   International keynote speaker Dr. Francesco Pia enlightened us on training lifeguards with new approaches to human information processing, and Dr. Robert Keig Stallman shared from a lifetime of aquatics experience to shed light on aquatics as a viable career option.
