Our climate is changing faster than we are. Seasons are no longer predictable. We are experiencing more frequent and severe extreme weather events like storms and droughts. The longest-lived trees in our parks will need to endure the climate of the future. Significant efforts to prepare for climate change are needed, but knowing where to start can be overwhelming. How do we adapt our management of landscapes to have reduced impact on the environment while also responding to a future climate? How do we support our communities to value and act for nature? This workshop aims to unify participants and help them prepare and plan for resilience in a changing climate. It will introduce horticultural practices and planning tools to support garden staff to integrate resilience into long-term planning and management.
