The theme of Symposium 2012 is "Esprit de Corps: in pursuit of our common purpose." Our intent is to build on the spirit of the 2011 National Recreation Summit that brought together leaders from across Canada to explore the essential elements of a national recreation agenda and identify priority policies and actions to enhance quality of life in our communities and the health of our citizens.

We will be building on the discussions held during the Summit without losing sight of practical information to help implement improvements in your communities - tools, tips, and promising practices. The format this year will replicate as much as possible that of the Summit, and include keynotes and plenary panels. More detailed session information can be found in the Symposium Program Guide.

Take advantage of discounted registration rates by registering early! This year we have two Early Bird opportunities to help you save money. Friday, March 9 is the first deadline for Early Bird rates, with Monday, April 9 being the second. The sooner you register, the more you’ll save. Register today!

Call for Poster Presentations

The BCRPA invites you to submit a proposal for a poster presentation at our upcoming 2012 Symposium.

An area of the conference premises has been designated for the presentation of information regarding research initiatives, innovative practices or programs relevant to the Parks, Recreation and Culture sector. Click here for more information.
