Honorary Life Memberships are a special distinction conferred by BCRPA's Board of Directors upon Members who have made outstanding contributions to the parks, recreation, physical activity and cultural sector.

Honorary Life Member Gathering

On June 22, 2011, BCRPA Honorary Life member May Brown hosted the other honorary life members at a lunch in her Dunbar home. (Click here to see photo.) In attendance were Norm Olenick, Bill Webster, Ken Winslade and Don Cunnings; as well as BCRPA President Leslie June and CEO Suzanne Strutt. The group shared stories and recollections of the early years of the field of recreation in BC.
