Purchasing Multiple Affiliate Memberships
 
Local Government membership Account Administrators are now able to purchase multiple Local Government/Affiliate memberships ($60 value) on behalf of others in their organization. Once the Local Government membership has been completed, you can assign the affiliate memberships associated with the account and also purchase additional affiliate memberships for others in your organization. To this end, we are asking all current members to complete a very brief membership questionnaire. Your participation in the questionnaire will assist us in focusing on the areas most valuable to you.
 
This questionnaire should take approximately 10 minutes to complete, and is available online here. Your responses are completely confidential and anonymous.
 
All questionnaires received by January 31, 2012 will be entered to win a $100 gift cheque. Identifying information collected for the contest will not be associated with your questionnaire responses.

Local Government Member
Local Government Membership is for Municipalities and Regional Districts. Membership fees are based on the population of the Municipality or Regional District (see table below).

Individual Member

There are three categories of Individual Members:

Individual Government/Affiliate Member
$60 fee

An individual working, volunteering or retired from a local government member or affiliate member (member's employer must have either a current Local Government Membership or a current Affiliate Membership with BCRPA to qualify)

Individual Independent Member
$257 fee

Practitioners working in the physical activity, recreation, parks and culture sector, and are not employed and do not volunteer for a Municipality/Regional District (Local Government Member), or a Not-for-Profit organization or Educational Institution (Affiliate Member) which is a current BCRPA member.

Student Member
Complimentary, one-time-only, first-year membership

A student in a recreation/parks related degree, diploma or certificate program. Please note, your membership application will be reviewed by the BCRPA prior to processing.

Student Member Benefits

 

Corporate Member
$399 fee

A private-sector corporation or commercial organization with a constructive interest in furthering the objectives of the Association. Corporate memberships includes two voting members.

Not-for-profit organizations and educational institutions with connections to the recreation, parks, culture sectors.
