2012 Call for Board Nominations

BCRPA Members are invited to offer nominations for five vacancies on the Board of Directors. Four of these positions are two-year terms as Director (May 2012 to May 2014), and the fifth is for a President Elect whose term is three years (year two as President and year three as Past President).

These nominations will form part of the Nominating Committee's deliberations in the development of its slate. However, all candidates will be put forward for election. The primary objective of the Nominating Committee is to provide a democratic process that ensures the Association has the appropriate leadership based on general attributes and specific skills. The Nominating Committee for 2012 is chaired by Past President Dean Gibson, with Leslie June, President; Murray Kopp President Elect; Erik Lees, member-at-large, and CEO Suzanne Strutt.

We are seeking candidates with a broad range of skills and experience, but have also identified particular priority attributes that we believe will guide the Association in the implementation of its current business plan:

  • Recreation
  • Strategic Planning
  • Regional Perspectives
